The difference is the manufacturing process. Most HA fillers are crosslinked using heat, a step that disrupts the natural structure of the hyaluronic acid molecule before reassembling it. Evolysse™ is manufactured at near-freezing temperatures using Cold-X™ Technology, which preserves that structure. The result is a gel that integrates more naturally into tissue and moves with expression rather than resisting it. It is the first major technological advancement in HA filler manufacturing in a decade.

In experienced hands, yes. Evolysse™ was specifically engineered for dynamic facial zones, the areas that move when you speak, smile, and animate. The product flexes with your expression rather than holding still beneath it. Your injector will assess your face as a whole and place product in a way that restores without announcing itself. Clinical study demonstrated sustained improvement in the nasolabial folds through 12 months for Evolysse™ Form. Duration varies by individual metabolism, the formulation used, and the area treated. Your injector will give you a realistic timeline at your consultation.

Both are FDA-approved for the nasolabial fold area and both use Cold-X™ Technology. Form is the more structured of the two, placed deeper to provide correction in pronounced folds. Smooth is softer and placed more superficially for finer correction. Your injector selects between them based on the depth and character of what is being treated.

Most people return to their normal day the same day. Tenderness, swelling, redness, bruising, or small lumps at the injection site are common in the first several days. Most of what you experience in the first week is temporary and resolves on its own.

Not yet. Evolysse™ Form and Evolysse™ Smooth are currently FDA-approved only for the nasolabial fold area. The collection is expanding, Evolysse™ Sculpt for mid-face volume and Evolysse™ Lips are in clinical study and pending FDA approval. We will offer them through VIO once they are approved. For lips, cheeks, and other zones today, your injector will recommend an appropriate FDA-approved alternative from the VIO filler menu.
