A fine-gauge needle is used for thread insertion, minimizing discomfort at the point of entry. Mild soreness and temporary swelling for a few days following the procedure are normal and manageable with over-the-counter pain relief.

The threads are fully absorbed by the body within four to six months, leaving behind a collagen scaffold in their place. The lifted and regenerated result continues to develop throughout this period.
